ABOUT THE ROLE

At Wella, we use the term Initiatives for all projects related to introducing a new product or a family of products to the market as well as any commercial or technical redesigns of the existing portfolio. The purpose of the Initiative Expert role is to manage successfully and independently assigned brand- or multi-brand projects by coordinating multi-functional efforts on execution of the projects.


You will join the Global Supply Chain Planning Team, which plays a critical role in product delivery to Wella customers. We collaborate cross-functionally and influence optimal decisions on service, cost, cash, and innovation. We continuously evolve and elevate work process standards, and daily operate in a multi-cultural context.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Set SAP planning parameters to initiate master data creation for new finished goods and materials.
  • Ensure forecast visibility in the JDA system to allow timely production planning.
  • Monitor material availability for first production in close partnership with relevant Planning Teams.
  • Provide weekly updates to Business Units on potential risks or delays on new products availability.
  • Run and analyze monthly reports to provide most accurate conversion dates to BUs through an online communication tool and to optimize Excess & Obsolete.
  • Drive improvement ideas in owned business processes.
  • Work autonomously, leading Initiatives from a Supply Chain perspective and engaging multi-functional Initiative team.
  • Update Supply Chain Leaders on the status of initiatives, proactively identify risks and provide action plan for risk mitigation.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG

  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management or other related fields
  • Min. 3 years of experience in supply chain planning (ideally in SAP or JDA environment)
  • Ownership, autonomy, and accountability for results within the given scope
  • Priority-setting skills and efficient work organization in a dynamic business environment
  • Growth mindset, with focus on solutions, improvements, and constant learning
  • Resilience to frequent changes in the supply chain
  • Ability to think and understand quickly, and to adjust plans and actions to the changing circumstances
  • Good interpersonal skills to influence peers and stakeholders at different organizational levels and to challenge them to reach consensus despite conflicting interests
  • Ability to define gaps and drive x-functional action plans for issue resolution, risk mitigation and business improvements
  • Excellent expertise-sharing skills
  • Proven record of analyses of complex data sets and processes, and of presenting the outcomes (including to leadership), driving the decision-making process
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Mastery of MS Office tools, including MS Project
  • Successful project management experience
